Послушайте и посмотрите. Обратите внимание на интонацию.

Как видно из примеров, в вопросах, оканчивающихся безударным подлежащим — личным местоимением, ударение падает на глагол be, вспомогательный или модальный глагол.

Bill and Wendy Wilson

Bill Wllson's an engineer at a big factory.
He's a tall handsome man with green eyes and dark hair. He and his wife Wendy live in Central London. Their flat isn't very big, but they are pleased with it, because it's convenient and there are a lot of shops nearby.
Wendy Wilson's a beautiful woman with blue eyes and blond hair. She dances very well, sings and plays the guitar, but she isn't a good cook. So Bill cooks for her. By the way, Wendy's sometimes away from London. She's an airhostess with British Airways. But her husband and she nearly always find enough time to go to the theatre or visit their friends. They've got a lot of friends and very much like to go to parties.

The Whites

Thomas White lives in West London with his wife Bess and their three children — two sons and a daughter. Tom's an economist with a big company and earns enough to keep such a big family. Tom's always very busy on weekdays. He stays at his office till half past six and only gets home at seven o'clock.
Perhaps his wife Bess isn't a very beautiful woman, but she's a kind person, an excellent mother and a good wife to her husband. And she always makes the difficult decisions in the family. Tom doesn't like to make decisions, so he finds this very convenient. Bess is an excellent cook, too. She just loves to cook! It's her hobby.
There are a lot of nice cafes, restaurants, pubs and snack bars nearby, but the Whites like to have their meals at home.
They often go to Brighton for weekends, because Bess's parents live there. Brighton's a lovely place to go for a weekend or a holiday, so they always have a wonderful time there.
